Farmland Sunflowers: Inspired by the Wooden Shoe Farm

First, I want to say how grateful I am to the Iverson family for the opportunity to spend several weekends in July and August at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm showing off my fused glass art and gifts earlier this year. The folks who own and run the farm and the Flower Festivals are some of the kindest people I’ve had the privilege to work with, and I can’t wait to do it all again next Summer!

Being surrounded by the colorful fields of Sunflowers inspired me to create my newest fused glass art series, the Farmland Sunflowers Collection. This collection includes sunflower garden stakes to decorate your flower pots inside and out, as well as a series of fused glass art tiles in various sizes. The largest one depicts an early morning hot air balloon flight over a field of Sunflowers with Mt Hood and a few iconic Pacific Northwest trees scattered along the horizon. This larger work of art is custom framed in a new “window” design my husband, Daniel, created specifically for this collection and work of art.

My greatest joy from this experience was that so many of the farm’s visitors admired and purchased my one-of-a-kind fused glass art and gifts as souvenirs or thoughtful presents for others.

My small art business thrives when I’m able to share my artwork with those who deeply connect with nature, and the Wooden Shoe Farm was a perfect place to meet “nature-loving” people. Thank you to all those who stopped by the Lucky Starz Studio pop-up store! I can’t do what I love without all of you.
