Celebrating Rainbow Fields

The newest edition of my fused glass collection, Rainbow Fields, first took shape after spending an afternoon with family at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm during their annual Tulip Festival this spring. Walking the fields together and seeing the brightly colored fields of blooming tulips stretched like a blanket across the horizon brought us all such joy. Joy to be together, and joy because the bright colors filled our senses with the excitement of spring, love, and compassion.

Each new edition of the Rainbow Fields Collection overwhelms me with memories of the special moments I had in the fields with those I care about, and I hope each one of these finds its way to new homes and brings feelings of joy, love, and compassion to all who see them.

One of the coolest parts about creating these designs is using “striking” colored glass. That means the glass changes color inside the kiln when it reaches temperatures of over 1200 degrees. Sometimes the color change is pretty dramatic, like the bright pinks in this collection.

Alright, it’s time to finally see the new Rainbow Fields Collection! Each fused glass art piece comes with a custom Kayu Batu wood stand or frame and a Certificate of Authenticity, which is signed and numbered for this limited edition series.

My lifelong artistic journey has been intertwined with my profound love for the natural world and brave entrepreneurial spirt. My artistic creations in both fused glass and sketch art offer viewers a vivid and textured glimpse into the beauty of landscapes, gardens, and the animal kingdom. I'm the proud owner and artist at Lucky Starz Studio where I fuse glass and make my artistic visions a reality. I strive to promote other artists in their journey and share the highlights and shadows of being an artist with everyone I meet. My core philosophy is rooted in the belief that art possesses the unique ability to inspire, heal, and deeply connect people. I believe creativity is within us all and is the thread that weaves our experiences to the world around us. When not immersed in the creation of my own art, I can be found hiking the trails of Oregon and the Pacific North West, exploring the natural beauty of the world through my travels, indulging in culinary delights, and visiting artists at exhibitions and craft fairs.
