Description
This fused glass design was inspired by one of my favorite wonders of Maui, its sea turtle population. Snorkel along the South Western edge of the island and you can’t help but run into them. These majestic creatures hatch as tiny turtles and begin digging their way out of their sandy nest, and against all odds they make their way to the ocean’s edge.
The turtles vary in size from tile to tile.
Glass art tile is 4.25″ x 4.5″. Custom made Kayu Batu wood stand included.
Made in Oregon. September 2024, 1st edition of the Turtle Travel design and 3rd design in my Sea Turtle collection. Four versions of this design were created in various sizes.
Each piece of colored Bullseye glass is carefully hand placed and layered in such a way that when fused together they melt to a soft textured image.
