Throughout the summer, I’ve noticed dozens of iridescent blue dragonflies around me and felt a deeper connection to myself and nature. So, when I discovered that the dragonfly, in almost every part of the world, symbolizes change in the perspective of self realization, emotional maturity, and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life, I knew I needed to create this dragonfly piece.
This unique fused glass artwork shows an iridescent blue dragonfly perched on top of a cattail with shimmering green leaves.
The dragonfly’s shape was created with an assortment of colorful iridescent glass to add a rainbow shimmer and it has as many as six layers fused together to create the texture of its wings and body. Not an easy feat when fusing glass.
Glass art tile is 4.75″ x 6.13″.
Custom made 6.88″ x 7.88″ Kayu Batu wood frame with optional hanger and stand included.

Each piece of colored Bullseye glass is carefully hand placed and layered in such a way that when fused together they melt to a soft textured image.
