Description
This sketch was inspired by the Junco family who visits my backyard daily. These birds commonly nest on the ground or in low-growing shrubs in mixed forests, but they seem to love my backyard. They are very curious, clever, and territorial. Often seen hanging out with chickadees.
In this sketch, the Junco is nibbling on some sunflower seeds scattered on the ground, using his feet to sift through the earth. This is the 3rd sketch in my Backyard Birds series. Click here to learn more about Juncos and my creative journey.
