Rainbow Fields

Description

My Rainbow Fields Collection of fused glass artwork celebrates the Wooden Shoe Farm and their Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. I created this series after visiting the brightly colored fields with my family a couple years ago. Seeing the vibrant colors stretched across the horizon was an inspiring and memorable experience that I had to translate into fused glass.

These glass tiles were created with a combination of opalescent and transparent glass so that natural light can reflect through and behind them casting a glowing rainbow shadow.

Glass art tile is approximately 8″ x 10″ and is set in a 11″ x 13″ custom Kayu Batu wood frame with sawtooth hanger.

Handmade in Oregon, July 2026. 4th edition in this collection. Seven made in the series in various sizes. Member of the Rainbow Fields Collection.

Each piece of colored Bullseye glass is carefully hand placed and layered in such a way that when fused together they melt to a soft textured image.
