Fluttering butterfly wings have inspired the world in so many ways. Memories of the sweet childhood moments between my father and I fluttering our eye lashes together the way butterflies flutter their wings, floods my mind whenever I see these graceful creatures.
This handmade fused glass piece shows a scene that captures a brightly colored monarch butterfly perched atop a dark pink Echinacea flower with wings fluttering in front of a rich green backdrop. This butterfly can flutter into your heart and home.
Creating this piece was a challenge as it combines intricate shapes and over a dozen different glass varieties layered so that the wings and flower are raised and textured.
Glass art tile is 4″ x 4.” Custom made stand included.

Each piece of colored Bullseye glass is carefully hand placed and layered in such a way that when fused together they melt to a soft textured image.
