This handmade fused glass light frame was inspired by the sunsets I’ve loved seeing throughout the Willamette Valley in Oregon. A mountain’s silhouette is seen along the horizon with vibrant colors filling the sky. Add this LED art piece to your home decor and watch the sunset glowing all day long.
To create this fused glass sunset I used many different colors of frit, tiny pieces of colored glass. The colors chosen for this piece are called “strikers,” which means the color after fusing can be dramatically different than in raw form. The end result is always a surprise, similar to the way a real sunset transforms the sky.
To show the true beauty of this fused glass sunset a custom Kayu Batu wood frame and LED lighting design was brilliantly created by my husband, Daniel Lucht.
Glass art tile is 4.5″ x 5.5″
Custom made Kayu Batu wood frame is 6.38″ x 7.88″ and wired with LED lights powered by 2 AA batteries. Frame includes peg stand and hanger. AA batteries not included.

Each piece of colored Bullseye glass is carefully placed and layered in such a way that when fused together they melt to a soft textured image.
